Okay, so maybe they aren't broke after all

The DeStefano campaign is reporting that they have raised a record $1,066,400 this quarter. Now we know what he's been busy doing for the past two months. I guess everyone was waiting for the primary to be over.

I'll post more numbers as they come out.

And last night he proved he's the only candidate with the intelect to be the Governor of this state that was on the stage in New London.

Does anyone really want Rell in charge if there's a crisis in this state?

Being "nice" is not enough to hold the top office in our state.

Oh, they've probably already spent it all, but they have raised a bunch.

Kudos belong to both DeStef and Malloy for really hitting homeruns this year for Dem gubernatorial fundraising, despite hyper-competitive races for the U.S. Senate and three House seats.

did they send out a press release? how much of it was from glassman?

DeStefano is broke. Look at CFIS (if you can get in), he only paid for his current tv through 9/30, at about $130k/week. If he ran last week and this week at the current pace, given that he's got $63k in unpaid debts, he's flat out of cash.

Bye, bye Johnny.

Rell raised:

1,047,669.07

Spent:

2,361,428.96

Destefano spent over 1 million.

All from CFIS.

Can't wait to see how much of this is from the folks with direct contracts with New Haven!

Damn you Tommy Tutone and CFIS!

Rell has filed but everytime I go to run the report it bombs out..

Do you mean winning or whining?

I hope Rell now realizes what she is up against and comes in next time with the gloves off. JD will continue to mix negative truths with big lies till he gets enough ignorant and uneducated people to fall for him or Rell desides to expose him for what he realy is. Example: He pointed out how Rell never fired her aid and stated that he "gets rid of his problems". Nothing could be further from the truth; JD appointed a convicted felon to head New Haven's Board of Fire Commissioners. This renowned vote getter in the african americam community was rewarded for his efforts and has since done everything in his power to undermine the fire departments progress since his appointment, including the ousting of two promotional exams. JD does NOT get rid of his problems, HE HIRES THEM!

That's right, first you get the money, then you dominate Republican Rell in the debate, then you run smart ads, and then you win. The end is near for Rell and Republicans in CT. Nov. 7th, Connecticut bleeds blue.

DeStefa-NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Property Tax!!!!

He is done. It is almost officially a joke.

If JD is a joke, why are the Republicans even paying attention to JD? They are afraid that their big lead is a mirage.

>>why are the Republicans even paying attention to JD?

Who????

JD truly does remind me of Grimace from McDonalds...

According to the AP story, Rell has already paid for all of her TV through the election. JDS hasn't. He has $300k, owes $50k, and still has to buy all his TV from Sept. 30 to Nov. 7.

Anyone interested in an over/under as to when the first layoff start?

"What is she doing out there?"

Probably prepaying for media time that won;t be available the last week of the campaign

Maybe MJR is spending her campaign money on her own cigars after all she's not JGR.

neither candidate is on pace to match the old Rowland numbers

The debate, which aired on WTNH-TV, an ABC affiliate, drew 98,295 viewers, the station reported. It had the highest viewership for the Monday, 8-9 p.m. timeslot for the station since Jan. 1.

100,000 viewers isn;t anything extraordinary for a news show in CT

Now, we get American Idol, then we'll get big viewership

Rich Harris needs to teach his candidate how to actually give a direct answer in debates... If Rell doesn't fix this problem then John will win.

Are there people out there that think JDS has a shot! Rell could declare war on RI and still beat the mayor of a crime ridden city and blocker of a cancer center in his city for BIG LABOR, by a comfortable margin.

Rell considers her honorary degrees to be her higher education. Check out her website.
