What planet is Sen. Lieberman living on? Pluto? We know it's wrong, but so many (like me) keep obsessing over Lieberman. Does it really matter who he caucuses with. I feel like he's wrong on so many fundamental issues, like torture and the war.

Shays jumps on the bandwagon. It's getting pretty crowded.

Connecticut is turning into ground zero in the coming election; for both sides of the aisle. It's nice not to be ignored for once. I guess come 2008 we'll go back to being just another safe-blue-state...

What else is going on?

Lieberman is a pathetic fool. This ignorant jerk interupts Ned multiple times durring the nbc30 debate accusing Ned of having 6 positons on Iraq. You are a joke Mr. Lieberman. I'm moving to canada if I have to endure six moe years of liberme. So he is gonna hint on the withdrawl idea when he knows he needs more votes to win. GIVE ME A BREAK!

Lieberme is a joke. When wil the Hartford Courant have a story covering NED LAMONT. THEY WONT BECAUSE ThAT JERK WHO OWNS IT WILL DO EVERYTHING IN HIS POWER TO ENDORSE REPBULICANS. WHAT A LACK OF FAIR AnD BALANCED STATE COVERAGE!

Um, things are getting better in Iraq?

And both America and Israel are much safer thanks Bush and Lieberman's Operation Iraqi Liberation.

What I marvel at is how partisan Connecticut Republicans are. Honestly, they are abandoning one of their own in order to embrace Lieberman, just so they can continue to deny the awful reality of this misbegotten war.

What is the Bush/Lieberman exit plan? And why has no one been held accountable, (i.e. fired), for this deadly and expensive blunder?

What's with Lieberman's lawn signs? My husband and I had to squint to see if they were signs for Joe Courtney or some state rep or senator named Joe. All you see in big letters is JOE! What kind of marketing is that? I'm in the 2nd Congressional District and most people I know (average folks, not political junkies like you guys) assumed the signs were for Joe Courtney. I thought Lieberman cleaned house after he lost the primary? Who is advising him now? And btw, despite his ill advised campaign strategies, I am still supporting him but am really becoming tired of trying to support this botched campaign. Come November 7, I may change my vote...Where is SENATOR Lieberman?

At the end of this interview with Colin McEnroe, Ned Lamont says the first Senate debate will be in 10 days, and that Lieberman has agreed to three debates. Anyone know when/where the other debate(s) are, aside from the October 23 one?

Also, a UCONN CSRA polling about the Senate & Gov elections should be out soon - a friend of mine got a call.

Farrell & Shays are debating on C-SPAN right now.

Lieberman is laughing his ass off.

His 18 yr old daughter,Hana, is safely "studying abroad in Israel" while you common folk supply more meat for the meatgrinder that makes his largest donors even richer.

Joe's come a long way from the package store owners kid he was growing up. He's now royalty and his subjects are so stupid they'll even sacrifice their treasure and their kids for him.

c'mon on bobby. pluto ain't a planet anymore.

Mike - Stamford and the Bushnell in Hartford, but I don't know the dates...

"studying abroad in Israel" is safe?

Infitada, anyone?

Anyone who said this must get cable TV on Pluto?

Okay.
Close to thirty more American servicemen have been killed in the last few days.
More than fifty corpses found around Baghdad, showing signs of torture before being executed.
Condoleeza Rice was warned about Al Qaeda attacks two months before September 11. John Ashcroft stopped flying on commercial airlines. Condi did nothing. Lieberman voted to confirm this person as Secretary of State.
Bob Woodward found out that military experts have told the Only President We've Got that the violence in Iraq will get much, much worse in 2007. The President decided that sharing that knowledge would be bad for his party during the midterms, so he said nothing. Joe Lieberman says that to criticize George W Bush puts the nation at greater risk. Apparently, on whatever planet Joe Lieberman lives on, people can't tell from reading the newspaper that George Bush is a liar and an incompetent.

hahaha... wow! i think i'm just sit back and listen.

Curious version of patriotism, to say nothing of humanity, that you find humor in so much death. I wonder what the parents and wives and children of those dead soldiers (I won't even bring up those brown people: They should be grateful to be martyrs for liberty, right?) would feel about your laughter.

Ever wonder what will happen to people like you if there is a god, and he/she/it or they are, in fact, just?

Anon (9:58),
Thanks! With that info, I found that the Stamford one is scheduled for October 16 at lunchtime. The article also mentions the possibility of a late October debate in Hartford hosted by Channel 3.

Mike - that sounds right. On hartford, I have read allusions to it in a couple of places and know for a fact that it exists, but it hasn't been (officially) announced yet, so it must not be written in stone...

I work for the Lamont campaign and nothing is confirmed yet. I heard the channel 3 debate will be television only. I find that pretty strange for a major debate being held at the Bushnell in Hartford. Anyway, good luck to Ned in all the debates. He is going to bring his A game and show the voters of Connecticut that hes the best man for the job.

Anyone notice that Lieberman has gained significantly in two polls, albeit, they are not the most reliable, however, it is still trending in his direction.

Rasmussen has him up 10, zogby has him up 20....

Woah, the lunatic left is going nuts! Lets see how vile they cna get themselves. If the progression is any indication they will be murdering Liberman supporters and Democrats by Halloween.

Quinnipiac, Rasmussen, Zogby: all showing what the MAJORITY thinks: That Ned Lamont does not deserve to be a Senator. He is not qualified, not principled and not going to win. Join us in reality, start supporting your Senator Joe.

Ct ain't ground zero. It's a proven ground for failed liberal policies. Come 08 we'll have the same congress people and good ole Joe.

good ole Joe is about as liberal as you get except for his neo-con agenda of colonialism in the Middle East.

I still think Joe wins and gets named Rumsfeld's replacement, enabling Rell to appoint a true R senator.

Why would Joe give up a six year government gig for one that would be over in 2008?

Ned Lamont isnt going to win. You Liberal Wackos need to accept the facts. Joe Lieberman will still be our US Senator and you Liberals will be having a funeral wherever Lamont has his headquarters.

I will be thinking of you while I have a beer on Election Night when Lieberman is re-elected.

You liberals are like my son in Law You are a bunch of meatheads dead from the neck up.

So stifle yourself Because Ned is going to lose.

Roomford said...

Wow, what a joke. Joe has had terrible press from the courant up until recently.

Seems like sour grapes from the Lamont people that the retort from Lieberman supporters after the primary warning that the majority of 15% is not equal to the majority of the whole state has come true.

I am a liberal democrat, but Ned is a one trick pony who hasn't convinced me to change horses. The plan for pulling out of Iraq is idealistic, but implausible- especially from a junior senator. Other than Iraq- what is Ned offering? Joe is one of the MOST liberal democrats in the congress on issues outside defense and frankly I will forgive him for that since he has saved my friends' defense jobs here in CT.

Ultimately, a moderate is appealing even to a liberal like me.
Sorry- the Lamont people thought this election would be a referendum on Bush, but it has become a referendum on extreme positions that Ned is losing.

What is wrong with Debicella crashing Chris Jones' press
conference the other day? It is disrespectful and shows
a lack of all common political courtesy. You do not show
up to the opponents press conference. It is poor judgement on
Debicella's part to say the least.
