Courant Endorses All Democrats in Congressional Races

The Hartford Courant will endorse all five Democrats running for Congress, tomorrow, according to Colin McEnroe. The DCCC has jumped on this, and has released some excerpts:
Scandal taints Congress, with members being sent to prison, forced to resign or under indictment or investigation.

2nd DISTRICT: COURTNEY: Mr. Courtney's ethic of hard work, compassion and integrity -- and his leadership on health care -- make him the best choice.

4th DISTRICT: FARRELL: She knows how to build bipartisan coalitions to get things done. Schooled and steeled by two grinding campaigns for the House, this articulate, personable, bright woman is knowledgeable about federal issues and would be an effective change agent to clean up Congress.

This is very rare for the Courant.

this is to make up for their forthcoming Lieberman endorsement

Besides, anyone remember Governor Eunice Groark?

The only thing more unAmerican you could do Nov 7th than voting Republican would be to vote Republican and vote for Joe Lieberman.

How many more kids are you willing to sacriface for their mistakes?

Isn't it rich how the same people who go ballistic about criticism claiming "their patriotism has been questioned" call the people they disagree with unAmerican?

Now I may think the Courant is out to lunch and Murphy a shill for whoever gives him a check. I do not believe either is anything worse than misguided. Guess it's old school manners, s'pose

I watched the 1st CD Republican candidate forum on CT-N tonight. This guy Scott MacLean is a nice guy, perhaps, but L-O-S-E-R.

Thank you -- Chris Healy and Dick Foley -- for 'masterminding' yet another losing campaign.

If we had run Mirium -- at least it may have helped with expanding our base!!

Once again I am amazed to read that when given criticism, republicans and their supporters revert to name calling.

Nancy Johnson, Christopher Shayes and Rob Simmons have not fairly represented the people of Connecticut. All one needs to do to confirm this is review their voting records, which reflect their true priorities.

I simply can't get over the fact that there's people who don't see Lieberman's arrogance and rovian dirty tricks campaign. The polls are somehow being manipulated to support Lieberman. He has made this election about him, he's everything to everybody and on all sides of every issue! For a democratic, blue state, Lieberman should be reprehensible.

Vote Ned Lamont. True blue.

The Hartford Courant is just another extension of the CT Dem party. As long as money keeps getting poured into Hartford-- they are with you.

Thank you.

Now I can go on with my life -- the Courant has made their endorsements. Considering how the Courant is doing it is hard to think the editorial board is insync with most CT residents.

Miriam Masullo was an aweful candidate.

You guys did absoluetely nothing to win the Primary.

If you had lifted a finger to turn people out, especially in your backyard of Southington, you would have won.

It's about change baby!! The Courant and NYT endorsements are saying we need it now more than ever!!

I MIGHT have taken this seriously if not for the laughable praise of John Larson.

How come we don't hear about Mr. Larson's questionable activities from a few years back with Capitol Hill Interns?

Anyone remember the Vanity Fair Magazine piece that showed him in a compromising position?

Partying with interns 48 hours after the September 11th attacks...

Ask Congressman Jim Sullivan (D-Didn't Win) what Courant and NYT endorsements meant against Simmons

18 of the 20 endorsements to date go to Democrats!!! Yeah, this paper has credibility. The same people praising these endorsements will be the first ones to claim that FOX new is biased.

The Courant did endorse Bush twice... looks like they're flip-flopping.
