Late Night Hilarity

From MyDD:

The Lieberman supporters started getting aggressive, pushing some of the Lamont staffers. When confronted, the Lieberman staffers said that they are just doing what the bloggers did.

You are missing out if you don't go read the whole thing.

And then compare it to "what the bloggers did." (2 links)

Now tell me, with a straight face, that there is any comparison...

I just find the whole thing really sad.

These guys are drawing paychecks, and were following marching orders.

Joe should have his campaign exhibit a little more class - after all, after three decades, it's his last week as a Democrat.

Its sad alright but not surprising...count the thuggery as another reason why Joementum must go.

This should be called CTKOS blog...

Joe got his super aggressive Lieberyouth out in force today. It was embarassing. And that is an understatement of what occured today at the diner. Even my two year old behaves better than these Lieberhothead thugs who were at the diner. They were as a matter of fact just there to harangue Ned and were sporting for a physical confrontation. Very weird and very shameful.

Its always like that at Ted's. Meriden's not for the faint of heart.

I personally wasn’t thrilled to see Ned accepting the endorsement of Al Sharpton (He just plays sensationalism rather than truth to often), but there are plenty of productive ways of expressing yourself. The deceiving actions on behalf of those Lieberman supporters helps no one, probably Joe the least.

Wow. This primary never ceases to amaze me. We're using up a lifetime's worth of interesting elections.

What nutty thing is going to happen tomorrow?

Mention was made of a photographer being hurt. Was the press there and, if so, whom?

It's video like that that is making this primary the nasty thing that it is. Someone mentioned the class of Joe's campaign staff...perhaps if the people who want Joe gone weren't as nasty as they appear on here and in those videos he would be more accomadating. How would you feel if someone followed you everywhere you went with "the kiss float". Don't people have anything better to do....I mean stick to issues not some kiss the President gave him that he had no control over.

I just think it's a shame that people have to treat other people the way they do...and I am sure I am going to get slammed for this but in all seriousness...just think about it.

Anonymous 11:07, how can you possibly compare a silent protest of Liebermans closeness to Bush by a bunch of Liebermans constituents, to a bunch of paid Lieberman staff physically assaulting Ned Lamont staff members, a photographer, and verbally assaulting a 90 year old WWII veteran?

Besides, what did they think they could gain?

There is no comparison at all to Lieberman's events. None. These kids were spoiling for a damn physical fight. It was almost surreal.

This is not really funny, it's disturbing. From MyDD:

The Lieberman supporters started getting aggressive, pushing some of the Lamont staffers....

In the whole affair, one photographer caught an elbow and got a bloody nose.

Lieberman's campaign is now fully unhinged. From the LamontBlog:

One reporter goes up and tries to ask some of these kids whether they are volunteers or paid staffers for the Lieberman campaign. The kid screams in response, "Let me see your credentials!" The reporter produces said credentials. The kid replies "those are fake." None of the 15-20 Lieberman kids there would admit to being paid staffers. Nor would they tell the reporters their names, or any other personal information.
........
The reporters were, to a person, understandably horrified at the spectacle.

With the entire field campaign possibly abandoned, and even Lindenfeld's employ in question, the entire substance of Lieberman campaign seems to have degenerated into little more than official, paid-for thuggery at Ned Lamont events.

Photos of the paid Lieberyouth at the campaign blog.

Gotta to confess, I was one of the people in the "Kiss Float".

Absolutely we were mocking Joe and his fake bus tour. Lieberman's 10-day photo-op has been a travesty of democracy. What, not one public forum??

But we have never been anything but cordial and well-behaved. This is a political fight, and it isn't personal with Mr. Lieberman, or his campaign staff.

Anon 1107 - If you were referring to CTBob, then you didn't watch the video - he is asking him about issues... not some kiss. Also he is perfectly respectful and even the Seantor notes that he is always smiling...
