Gubernatorial Poll

Since this race actually crept out of the shadows today, how about a poll?

If the election for governor were held today, for which candidate would you most likely vote?
John DeStefano (D)
Jodi Rell (R)

"how about a poll?" = which campaign has more blog team presence on this site?

TrueBlue:

Be original.

Or at least give bluecoat credit as he posted Rell's issue page earlier.

If JDS doesn't beat Rell by at least 2-to-1 on this left of center blog, then he should hang it up.

TrueBlue, spare us the righteous rhetoric. Your fellow readers are slightly more sophisticated than you seem to believe.

If Stalin was on the ballot as the Democrat versus Rell, you'd cast your vote for Stalin.

I wanted to vote for "Stefano" but there is no such listing on this ballot.

Please, John DeStefano, do for Connecticut what you've done for New Haven.

Oh! You can bet he will too!

DeStefano reduced crime by 50 percent, I'd say the state could use that.

Difficult if not impossible to verify as New Haven is alone in CT's 169 in not reporting to the FBI for their indexing purposes.

Further - after having 67 automobiles stolen from my lot the New Haven Police refused to take a report. I've spent 1000's getting the New Haven resident (and friend of the mayor) prosecuted.

Totally corrupt?

I'll say!

ADANR,

Now if only I could find a way to charge people hundreds of dollars to see the results...

John DeStefano has less credibility telling us New Haven is safe than Donald Rumsfeld has telling us Baghdad is safe

Im DeStefano supporter, but that Craig's List post is pretty damn funny.

I think we all know the answer here- the Tampa Bay Devil Rays have as good a chance of winning the World Series as JDS does the gube seat.

That's not fair. JDS has a better chance than the Devil Rays. He hasn't been mathematically eliminated from contention yet.

This web-poll is an interesting measure of the site's perspective- but in the end, the results should be placed into an envelope and mailed to 2004, when someone would have cared.

DeStefano will lose in November Because The Democratic Party is still split despite thedumpjoe.com founder's suggestion to a poster that 99.9% of Malloy Supporters are with DeStefano.

That is just Mr Crane either doing the lie and deceive tactic he is good at or he had a few too many hits of doobie when he wrote that. Because that is just about the most absolute false statement that has been made this election season so far.

Lighten up truebluect ... and stop with the fake self-righteous indignation.

It was funny.

And, with respect to your claim that all Republicans can do is play the "Us vs. You Game" trust me, our party might play it, but your party perfected it!

It's overtly racist tone?

You don't ever want to call me racist and I expect an apology.

Genghis,

Where is the Green Party in this one?
Cliff Thornton belongs in this poll.

It's not like it costs extra to throw his name in there. And while your at it, throw in Joseph Zdoncyzk and "None of the above." It works better than I don't know.

Let's try to make the poll resemble the actual ballot.

More choices, more voices.

Thanks,
Ken Krayeske
Thornton for Governor
Campaign Director

Trueblue--thanks for being such stand-up defender of the poor, but your services are no longer required. For the record, I am poor...meaning (for those of you who don't know) I don't have two nickels to rub together.

As a poverty-stricken individual (whom you libs love so well) STOP COUNTING THE POOR AMONG YOUR LOYAL SUBJECTS, YOU DEMOCRAT LOONEY-TUNES! Gosh, your Senate candidate is a multi-millionaire and your gubernatorial candidate is a Yalie. Yeah, you guys identify.

I didn't label you a Communist TrueBlue - maybe you need to re-read exactly what I said.

I know you're a drama queen, but I didn't even say anything of the sort. Sorry buddy.

What did you mean when you implied that New Haven was "the Ghetto?"

I never imply. New Haven is a ghetto. So's a large portion of Terryville and they're mostly "NASCAR" fans.(white trash)

I'm not calling you a racist.

Yes you did.

You didn't really mean to smear New Haven, did you?

You bet!

It's been a lousy city since birth. It wasn't originally part of CT you know as it was settled by those horrid Puritans (of witch trial fame).

It's gotten worse with age.

One should not have to retain council nor be required to spend in excess of 10K to get someone who stole aprox 200K prosecuted as I have has to do thanks to the New Haven Police protecting one of their mayors friends.

JDS owes an explanation why they aren't reported to the FBI, and it is for administrative reasons no doubt, but here are thecrime statistics for new haven connecticut from the NHPD website. Found 'em with one Google and I have posted them before and asked for an explanation of why they don't go to FBI as well.

I went to a $1000 lunch for Distefano. Although the lunch was tasty, I almost barfed when he started talking about growing jobs with mandated health care. The guy is nuts. I'd never vote for him. But the poll is interesting because it shows him winning as of now. This may be the only thing he wins.

fromA Word About UCR Data collected and published by the FBIFinally, in a given year, nearly 17,000 agencies contribute data to the FBI; however, because of computer problems, changes in record management systems, personnel shortages, or a number of other reasons, some agencies cannot provide data for publication. but JDS or the NHPD reaally should explain this in an attempt to put the political side of the issue to rest or at least in prespective.
