The best source of information here at Lieberman HQ is the television. Supporters, staff and reporters clusters around one of four television sets set to a local channel.
The mood is still not happy, but the narrowing race has given some cause for hope. I spoke to a man wearing a Lieberman t-shirt who said that a 4% loss "is perfect for an independent run." He desperately wants Lieberman to run as an independent, because he is a Republican and couldn't bear to support Joe if he remained a Democrat.
Interesting.
The young volunteers are getting drunk. There is an aroma of stale beer in the atrium, now.
