Authentic Connecticut Republican Joins CTLP

I'd like to take a moment to welcome our new conservative commentator, Authentic Connecticut Republican. Many of you know him from his comments on this site.

I look forward to seeing what he posts here, as I'm sure do all of you. Welcome!

ACR... welcome aboard.

Nothing's outlandish ACR under the big tent... There's room for all kinds of ideas and views. That's how we operate in the GOP, right!

Likewise, welcome, ACR.

And we'll let you know if anything actually jumps the shark ... other, that is, than the DeStefano, Lamont, Farrell, Murphy and Courtney campaigns, since that would be redundant.

Do you have to get one of your comments deleted for outing someone to become a poster? Or just call everyone in sight anti-semitic?

Is he giving up his spot at CTConservative?

Looks like the ever "tolerant" libs are glad to see you in a position of some authority ACR, good luck! :D

We lose a Gabe and a True Gent, and in their places we get Chris Mc and ACR? Mix in Turfgrrl, and this place...

Doesn't ACR have an official position within current political campaigns?

If so, I think this is a bad move.

ACR is a Republican State Central Committee member. So yes, he's here to parrot the party line, which he does daily.

Isn't ACR Scott MacLean's Field Director? Finance Director?

I don't look to bloggers for uncritical parroting of party talking points, regardless of their relationship to reality or evidence. We can read newspapers or go to the GOP Web site for that. If bloggers don't offer independent thinking, evidence, or critical analysis, there is no point to reading them. ACR has demonstrated little of this.

ACR will do a fine job.

Nope - though I do have several friends involved as candidates in various races throughout the state.

Let me also point out that I never once voted for John Rowland and due to that feel more qualified to defend him now than if I had.

I joined state central with the intention of walking in the room and throwing a grenade, maybe two.

Republican State Central had been doing nothing worthwhile as far as I could tell since the passing of Pat Futner years ago.

Fortunately the guilty had largely already left the committee and despite a few setbacks we're now (thanks largely to the spendid leadership of George Gallo (I'm no party flunkie - I can't believe we got this guy to work for us!)) headed down the right road.

Finally!

I see a much brighter future for the CT GOP today.

ACR--so you never voted once for Rowland, but I'll bet you never publicly called for his ouster as a member of the RSCC.

I'm also fairly confident that you haven't led a charge against your latest morally malleable candidate, Alan Schlesinger.

Personally, I'd still vote for Rowland over Senator Gold any day of the week.

And how come there's been no motion from the RSCC over this McLean debacle that you so eloquently analyze on your own blog?

I guess with ACR, his bark is worse than his bite.
