Conservative Commentator Needed

Sadly, one of our conservative posters, The True Gentleman, has decided to leave the site. We'll miss him and his thoughtful analysis very much, and we all wish him the best in his future endeavors.

This leaves an opening in our team of bloggers. If you're a conservative interested in writing for Connecticut Local Politics, please consider applying. The requirements:
  • Posting at least once or twice a week--more during election season
  • Going to events from time to time and talking with candidates and other political folks
  • Moderating comments, and participating in discussions here on the site
Other than that, it's what you make of it. It can be just a few hours a week, or a lot more, depending on how much you want to do. If you've got an interest in politics, joining the team at CLP can lead to all kinds of fun places. If you're interested, please email me at jeenaone@gmail.com or post your interest in the comment section here.

TG: sorry to see you go; hope you'll still throw in a commentary once and a while anyway.

Genghis- you should break up your email address on your post so that spammers won't pick it up.

I nominate Ghost of Yogi. I read a few it's posts and I think the GoY has it down; and, the entertainment value, so much the better.

Looking for a second?

How about ADANR? He seems pretty much out there!

Finally, a poll that shows what we had all been thinking: that there is a real chance Alan Schlesinger has 0% support for his campaign.

Lieberman: 46%
Lamont: 42%
Schlesinger: 3%
Margin of Error: +/-3%

I second Ghost of Yogi as a commentator. His postings are consistantly well written and insightful.

I hate to claim victory, but I knew all along that TG would wuss out. His problem? He's not a real Republican!

Cognitive dissonance is a buzz-killer. But a year or two from Democrats will proudly welcome TG into the progressive community.

P.S. (T.G., I always knew you were too good of a guy to be one of THEM. Like me, you are a fiscally conservative, good government guy, --just trying to make sense of a warped political landscape.)

How about Authentic Connecticut Republican or Derby Conservative? Those guys are real conservatives with credentials.
