Now that the election's done, what's happening around the state? Also, don't forget about the upcoming special election in Bridgeport.

Republicans now have 83 Mayor/First Selectman offices, vs. 82 for Democrats.

In a "Democratic" state, we have a majority of municipal CEOs as Republican, a Republican Governor, and 3 out of 5 Congressmen Republican.

Looks like we are more "purple" than anything else...

So Enfield Dems retained their 7-4 Council majority with an "ain't great how we get along with the Board of Ed..." message. So much for the fear of revaluation that everyone thought was going to stir voters...

I gotta believe the Tax Payers' Party candidate (Charles Woods) spoiled the vote again this year for the 4th Republican At-Large candidate, Greg Stokes. Makes sense now that Woods is still a registered Democrat on the voter rolls...

On the radio today, I heard an ad from the anti-gay Family Institute of CT endorsing Edna Garcia for State Senate in Bridgeport. All the more reason to support frontrunner Ed Gomes.
