To be fair, Joe is not without his redeeming qualities. With that smooth and melodious voice, he has always been able to hold an audience in the palm of his hand, and he can party with the best of them.
We can expect Joe to fight back hard. His supporters have told him that to win, he'll need to reach beyond his core supporters - Republicans and men with big hair. Naomi Wolf has suggested that he try out some new wardrobe ideas to rehabilitate and loosen up his image.
On a more personal level, while the passion shared by Hadassah and Joe is legendary, he may want to branch out and rekindle another romantic relationship. (But then that's what got him into all this trouble.)
Chris Murphy came out swinging this week on the Medicare Part D program, starting an effort to make it clear to seniors that Johnson is primarily responsible for this terrible program. Good for drug companies and insurers, but way too confusing for seniors and grossly expensive for taxpayers. Check out this article in the Danbury News-Times:

I think Joe Lieberman is starting to sweat about the threat of an electoral challenge and the prospect of being carried off the political stage (yes, that's him). He looks strained in his public appearances, even a little unbalanced.
No wonder. His critics have been relentless, painting him as a traitor, a member of an organized political crime family, an aging dinosaur, a demonic influence, and the dark lord of an evil empire, capable of shooting death rays at innocent people. Indeed, some have questioned whether he is even from this planet and others think he is just an annoying geek who should find another party.

If Joe does have to fade from the political scene, there are many other career opportunities available to him. He could return to his celebrated role as a stage actor, tour the nation as a dynamic lounge singer, or even revive his stellar television career. He could draft another riveting pageturner or become a fitness instructor. The sky's the limit for a guy like Joe.
