A previous discussion about Chris Murphy and Paul Vance was mentioned in CT News Junkie today. Dan Levine does a great job over there.

Also, Roy Occhiogrosso, who helped run Bill Curry's horrible campaigns, is now working for Dan Malloy.

CT relief efforts for Hurricane Katrina are continuing.

What else is happening today?

Let's hope Roy O has learned something about Opposition Research as if he had done this well in the race against Rowland, Curry could have won.

Looks like Lowe's stores will match in-store Katrina relief contributions up to $1 million. Many employers will also match charitable contributions.

I wonder if Lowe's contribution will include their losses due to looting?

Oh please, back off Curry. The problem with the campaign was that he got no backing from the democratic wing of Connecticut's republicrat party. There were plenty of house and senate leaders (and former leaders) perfectly happy to keep Rowland around, and they didn't want Curry upsetting the very profitable gravy boat.

Think I'm crazy? Who do you think Ernie Newton voted for? Or Dibella?

In local news....

Gordon Joseloff, Democratic candidate for First Selectman of Westport has an occasional blog.

Frank Chiaramonte & Sandra Davis, candidates for First Selectman & Selectman of Harwinton, have a Web site.

What, you're dejected that the Connecticut Dems haven't pounced on a national tragedy to raise some cash?? Geez that's pathetic.

Bill Curry lost because he was outspent by Rowland 5-to-1, period the end.

With Roy Boy now on board, Malloy's Gubernatorial campaign can be officially called the "Titanic"

Roy O is an embarassment...he is very friendly with Kevin Sullivan....who doesn't wish Malloy well...and was dating a republican Rep while running Curry's gov race into the ground...curry replaced him ( not officially) toward the end of the campain...Roy is 0 for 3 and his team is 0 for 7...and yet he and the others are deemed "political operatives" of statwide stature?

Has anyone who has criticized the job Roy O has done running political campaigns tried doing his job under the circumstances that existed when Curry ran for Governor? Having a corrupt Governor who made sure Curry's fundraising was limited didn't make Curry's or Roy's job any easier. Considering they lost by 12%, the two men did an admirable job! As for Roy's choice to date a Republican, that's exactly what it is , a personal choice. Let us not forget James Carville's choice of a mate!
