Look for that to make a big impact, especially in Joe Courtney's student heavy 2nd District.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10214263.post-1162525870066614552006-11-02T22:51:00.000-05:002006-11-02T22:51:00.000-05:00I think the untold story about these numbers is th...I think the untold story about these numbers is the growth in minor party voters. Out of approximately 5,600 voters affiliated with minor parties, 282 registered since August 8. That's an increase of over 5%, which dwarfs the percentage increase of Republican, Democratic, and unaffiliated voters in the same period.

I wonder if this wave will also extend to third parties receiving a bigger chunk of the vote in this election from unaffiliated voters. We may likely see this effeect less in the Senate race, with three major candidates taking up the spotlight, and more in the governor's race, where the two major party candidates have been an utter disappointment.

(I have considered that that aformentioned 5% increase might include CFL voters, but that would mean that only 282 people at most registered for Lieberman's party, which doesn't make any sense)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10214263.post-1162513703164430142006-11-02T19:28:00.000-05:002006-11-02T19:28:00.000-05:00Democratic voter enrollment today is almost exactl...Democratic voter enrollment today is almost exactly where it was in the 1980's

so is Republican enrollment

What's happened is 300,000 additional unaffiliates and even the Lamont primary didn't dent their inexorable growth

We may end up like MA and NJ where a clear majority of voters are unaffiliatedAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10214263.post-1162496128652279782006-11-02T14:35:00.000-05:002006-11-02T14:35:00.000-05:00Ned Lamont is going to win.Ned Lamont is going to win.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10214263.post-1162495159232065812006-11-02T14:19:00.000-05:002006-11-02T14:19:00.000-05:00Will voters be able to register as Connecticut for...Will voters be able to register as Connecticut for Lieberman after this election?
