Well, he hasn't done much for CT as a Senator. Now that he'll be campaigning, he still won't do anything for CT. But at least he'll have a good excuse until the efforts crashes and burns.
I wonder if the excitement generated by the Dodd campaign for President can match that of the Arlen Specter for President campaign several years ago.
Senators rarely make good candidates for President. Hillary was well known before she became a Senator. Kerry though was a terrible candidate. Biden was a terrible candidate back in 1988, and he won't be any better this time. Except in 1988, the plagarism jokes about Biden were faxed around, but now they'll be emailed.
But then, I guess most Senators contemplate running for President.
1) There are bigger names than him, ie. Obama, Clinton.
2) They can raise more money
3) I cannot think of any important legislation that Dodd has brought to the floor, this is not saying that there is not any, but I would think his record in the Senate is like Kerry's, hard to explain in a campaign.
I admit, I dont like Chris Dodd, but my non-biased political scientist evaluation of his chances are...he has no chance. The other people running for the spot are just much bigger names and can bring in more money.

Wasn't this the guy who wanted to spend more time with his family? Guess not. That must have been Blumenthal.
Can anyone guess why I won't miss blogger?
Dodd .... Yawn!
Absolutely, Gabe. A string of anonymouses...
That explains all of his invitations to all the networks tommorow. He'll be on pretty much every talkshow he can.
I don't think he sparks much enthusiasm and while he speaks very well, he's very liberal and has a Kerry-esque voting record.
Biden has more foreign policy experience.

Dodd faces several problems.
1) There are bigger names than him, ie. Obama, Clinton.
2) They can raise more money
