Kevin Sullivan did a good job keeping Rowland & Rell in line. I believe he is one of the reasons that Democrats now contol the General assembly with a super majority.
A tip of the hat to Rell for showing up at his retirement party. It was a good way for her to show that she will work with the Democrats. If she continues in this manner, she will have a good four years.
Last weekend baby Jesus figures were stolen from two CT nativity scenes. How do you know he was stolen? Word on the street is BABY JESUS RAN AWAY. He's not down with the strong arm bullies that represent His flock today.
RUN BABY JESUS RUN!
where's compassion and acceptance? Where's the empathy? and whats's so funny 'bout peace love & understanding???
Kevin Rennie and Ray Hackett both write about a potential Courtney-Simmons 2008 rematch. It seems, at this early point, that the former Congressman is leaning towards another run. Hackett mentions in his column that Bozrah First Selectman Keith Robbins is considering challenging Courtney should Simmons decide to sit this one out.
A little reminder about Sullivan's "office" problems - Rell asked him to do a big mental health program reiew and then when the big work was done he had little administrative support to do the final report - a report BTW that Rell has done nothing about.
Keith Robbins has done a good job in Bozrah. He has also done regional and statewide stuff. It is a heavily democratic town but he gets as many D votes as R votes. He gets supports on both sides because he is honest and hardworking. He also is open to new ideas. He the type of decent person you would hope would run for Congress but we seem to elect political game players rather than genuine folk.
More on Last weekend baby Jesus figures were stolen from two CT nativity scenes: "my Mike Brown" informs me that nativity scenes are supposed to be sans Baby Jesus until December 25th, since it is prenatal up to that point. I prefer shoebox diaramas with dinosaurs in any case.

Mrs. Robbins, Maybe you would like to meet Joe Courtney?
Robbins might be the greatest guy in the state but if he can't raise $2M to buy TV time so folks outside of Bozrah know who he is, he ain't gonna beat Courtney

Better late than never for catching the electricity thieves. Greed got 'em. He should have varied the amount paid and he might have got caught.

My husband said the same thing Tessa. And I think that's silly. There's just no way that Mary was in labor for a freaking month.
