Simmons-Courtney: Overtime

Courtney is unofficially about 500 votes up, but Simmons is reportedly asking for a recount. The Courtney campaign believes they have enough votes to prevail despite the recount, and that the DCCC will help fund them through it, no matter how long it takes.

So hang tight. This could take a while.

GC-- What is going on in the CT legislature?

Looks like the Republicans still have 12 (won Caligiuri, but lost Winkler)....is that right?

If so, then the Democrats now have veto proof majorities in both houses of the CT legislature, right?

CNN has Courtney up 229 with Waterford still outstanding.

For the sake of Eastern CT, I hope Courtney wins. With the new Dem majorities, $$$ will flow to the district to support a freshman Courtney.

If Simmons pulls it out, the district won't get squat. That's what you get for being short-sighted.
