Petty Cash Update

The Lamont campaign has filed a formal complaint to the FEC, which can be viewed here.

Also, Joe's blog has responded. They provided no explanation, just more name calling and a reminder that Ned Lamont has put large amounts of money into his own campaign.

Lieberman used the cas to work "across party lines" as he promised from day one when he got into the race as a petitioning candidate - or Independent as Doug Schwartz likes to say in his push polls,

A little cash would have made me more supportive of his Connecticut For Lieberman party run.

George Jepsen on slush-gate:

"Petty cash is supposed to be used for pizza for volunteers and paper clips," he continued. "It's not intended to fund a massive field operation. "This is a throwback to a generation ago when 'street money' was completely unregulated and widely abused, so at a minimum by law they're supposed to keep detailed records of who was paid and how much, and make those records public.

"If you're doing it right and by the book, so that it's 100 percent legal, you would be cutting roughly 6,000 individual checks and keeping track of the money," Jepsen added.

The Lieberman campaign deliverd to Tom Lindenfeld between $20,000 and 50,000 in cash every day for the last three weeks of the primary season. These funds were delivered every day to the New Haven office on Court street.

Almost every one of the staffers paid in cash recieved over 600 dollars during their "employment" which means they were not "casual employees" and could not be paid in cash.
The couple of hundred staff Linderfeld brought in from New Jersey also recieved over 600 dollars plus houising which also means they wouldn't qualify as 'casual employees".

Joe Liebermans campaign broke not only election law but federal and state income Tax Law,Social security law and workers compensation law.

This is true if you accept the campaigns own explanation.

Jepsen wants Lieberman to comply with the law 100%; but wait, George, whatever happened to Lamont and filing of the tax returns under FEC rules for candidates. Did Neddie comply with the law 100%?

Care to say what the lie is? Perhaps the FEC report didn't have $387,000 in petty cash?

Why dont Ned report his tax returns for the last 5 Years???Because he is hiding something!!!!!!

Maybe if Ned did the right thing instead of being such a loser Maybe he would have more credibility than he does right now.

Go Lieberman ....Send the Left Wing Anti War Liberal Lamont back to Greenwich to join his pal Weicker.

Two peas in a pod I would say or perhaps Dumb and Dumber is a better fit.
