Ad Wars

Take a look at Joe Lieberman's new ad. He seems to have finally remembered why as lot of people like him.

I'm also including links to two new Lamont radio ads, which are part of their national security push over the last week or so.

Fear Itself (mp3)
Once Upon a Time (mp3)

Both sides agree that Lieberman works with his Republican colleagues and the Bush Administration. The Lamont campaign is trying to convince voters that Lieberman has worked with them on the wrong things.

"...it's about people, no politics."

Obviously it's not about the 3000 american PEOPLE dead in Iraq.

mikect, please know the facts before posting. the employees at fairfield were the ones who had the senators car parked in the space and there were people there at all times in the event that someone needed the space. just ask the fairfield public affairs department. this seems to be an epidemic among the lamonsters of only posting half of the story. i expect more from you mikect in factchecking your information.

Democrats have a great record on privacy. Obviously spying on an opponent is more important than spying on terrorists

Very good and your ending comment is right on Lamont will convince people because its true Lieberman has in the last 3 years supported the Neo Con Republican Agenda and thats why voters will vote for Lamont.

TBC:
"Quitting Iraq? Said who? No one has ever said quit."

You don't attend you own rallies or you are in an Orwellian memory hole...this was Neddie's primary night speech

At one point in his speech, Lamont called for a pullout of 132,000 U.S. troops from what he called the "bloody civil war in Iraq" and said they deserve to return home to "a hero's welcome." The line inspired the crowd of Lamont supporters to begin chanting "Bring them home! Bring them home!"

I suppose it all depends on what your definition of "quit" is?

In the primary, Lieberman proudly claimed he was a good Democrat, voting with Democrats 90% of the time.

Let's see where Lieberman exercised his Independent spirit and sided with Republicans:

Lieberman voted with Republicans on the Iraq War, the Bush-Cheney Energy Bill, the Condi Rice appointment as Secty of State knowing that Condi lied to the world about WMDs; he approved Michael Brown at FEMA without fact-checking his resume, folded FEMA into the Dept of Homeland Security thereby destroying it...

When Lieberman had the chance to hold the Bush Administration acountable on the costs and conduct of the war, he missed 30 key votes on Iraq, including a vote to provide better protective equipment to the troops. He doesn't hesitate to send other people's kids into harm's way — and then he doesn't have the decency to show up for a vote to better protect the troops.

He voted for Bush's No Child Left Behind Act -- despite the fact that the CT Dept of Education strongly opposed the bill and is suing the Fed Govt over it.

Lieberman didn't bother to show up for the Medicare Perscription Drug Act, which was a gift to the insurance and drug industries at a cost of over $400 Billion.

So Lieberman's symbolic gesture of erasing the partisan line only means that Lieberman will make dumb votes no matter what party he represents, when he decides to vote at all.

true blue ct said "who doesn't point fingers at the other side while running his own negative campaign..." did you even watch the ad? please explain to me how that ad was negative. this last post also states that joe voted democrat 90% of time, but mentions times joe voted republican. is there something wrong with a democrat working with a republican? lets be honest; would you want your candidate to vote with his party 100% of the time, like some tool or machine?

OMG are you kidding that "He seems to have finally remembered why as[sic] lot of people like him."?? This ad is not only godawful just plain dumb, he can't even erase a g*&&@## line on a f!$&ing blackboard. Crikey.
