Lieberman-Lamont Debate in the Cards

The Lieberman campaign has accepted Lamont's request for a debate, according to a recent release:
The Lieberman Campaign announced today that they have accepted an invitation, on Sen. Joe Lieberman’s behalf, to debate Ned Lamont. The debate will take place on July 6th, during the Senate’s Fourth of July recess, and air on WVIT – the NBC affiliate.

“We look forward to seeing the Greenwich Multi-Millionaire take a break from his attack politics to address some real issues,” said Sean Smith, Lieberman’s Campaign Manager. “Voters want to know where the candidates stand on the issues that matter to them and we believe that they deserve that.” ("Lieberman")

So mark your calendars.

So does that mean Joe will still be a Democrat on July 6th?

That's the real news here.

This is great news, but I think thirdparty has the right angle here.

Then again, the last time Lamont and Lieberman were to attend the same forum, Lieberman sent in Sean Smith, though Lieberman himself was confirmed to attend.
